Barry A. Zweig, Esq., is a principle in the firm Zweig & Associates, PC.  He has been principally practicing criminal and traffic defense for the past fifteen (15) years.  He emphasizes his practice on DUI, serious felony defense and family law matters including divorce, custody and visitation.Barry A. ZweigBorn and raised in Bridgewater, New Jersey, Mr. Zweig attended the University of Vermont and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English in 1989.  He attended the University of San Diego School of Law, receiving his Juris Doctor in 1995.  Mr. Zweig is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Virginia.  From 1996-2001, Mr. Zweig served as an Assistant Public Defender in Loudoun County, Virginia, where he exclusively represented those charged with crimes and traffic offenses.  While working with the Public Defender's Office, he conducted jury and non-jury trials and pursued appeals to the Virginia Court of Appeals and the Virginia Supreme Court.  From 2001-2002, Mr. Zweig worked as an Assistant County Attorney for Prince William County, principally representing the Prince William County Department of Social Services in child abuse and neglect cases in an effort to protect the children of Prince William County.  Since July 2002, Mr. Zweig has been engaged in the private practice of law, focusing his practice in the area of criminal defense representation.  He is a former president of the Prince William County Bar Association and is a member of the George Mason American Inn of Court.  Mr. Zweig has been a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers for more than ten years.  He accepts cases of all types, including, but not limited to:  murder, rape, robbery, malicious wounding, trespassing, possession with the intent to distribute schedule I or II controlled substances, possession of narcotics including cocaine, PCP, marijuana, phencyclidine, heroin, ecstasy, grand larceny, petit larceny, burglary, to name but a few.  He accepts all traffic cases including DUI, Driving on Suspended, driving without a valid operator's license, reckless driving, hit and run, speeding, improper driving, failure to yield the right of way, failure to obey highway signs, etc.
 
 
Daniel H. Goldman: A native of Washington, D.C. who has lived in Northern Virginia since 2007, Mr. Goldman graduated from American Universitymagna cum laude, in 2006, with a Bachelor of Arts in Literature. A member of the Phi Beta Kappa Society, he attended Washington & Lee University School of Law, receiving his Juris Doctorate in 2011. Mr. Goldman clerked for the Public Defender Service of the District of Columbia in the summer of 2010, where he supported three trial teams in the defense of serious felonies. During his time at Washington & Lee, Mr. Goldman participated widely in public interest organizations, focusing on protecting the rights of criminal defendants and those already incarcerated. As Executive Case Manager for the Southwest Virginia Innocence Project, Mr. Goldman helped to revive the organization and to expand its membership to more effectively pursue innocence claims on behalf of the wrongfully convicted. He served as a founding board member of Washington & Lee’s chapter of the National Lawyers Guild and served on the board of the American Constitution Society for Law and Policy. During his final year at Washington & Lee, Mr. Goldman worked for the Virginia Capital Case Clearinghouse, supporting trial teams in the defense of capitally charged defendants across the Commonwealth. Mr. Goldman is also a co-founder of Turn the Page, Inc., a not-for-profit organization that distributes books to jails, prisons, rehabilitation facilities, and homeless shelters in Northern Virginia and wherever there is a need. For his extensive public interest work, Mr. Goldman was awarded the 2011 Oliver White Hill Law Student Pro Bono Award by the Virginia State Bar. He is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the American Constitution Society for Law and Policy, and the National Lawyers Guild. He is also a contributing editor for SolitaryWatch.com, a website that documents solitary confinement throughout the United States and provides resources to assist in advocating on behalf of prisoners serving sentences in solitary confinement. Mr. Goldman’s practice focuses on criminal defense litigation, family law and general civil litigation, including personal injury and landlord-tenant litigation.
